Factory test report, a report prepared to update and record the status of
the factory test performed
High voltage, Le. voltage between 11 kV and 230kV
Kilovolts, a measure of the potential energy in thousands of a unit charge
at a given point in a circuit relative to a reference point (ground)
Mega Volt Ampere, a measurement of real power in million units, Le. electrical power consumed by all electrical equipment. The portion of power now that, averaged over a complete cycle of the alternating current (AC) waveform, results in net transfer of energy in one direction is known as real power (also referred to as active power)
Mega Volt Ampere Reactive, a measurement of reactive power in million units, Le. that portion of power now due to stored energy that returns to the source in each cycle
Neutral earthing resistor, used in power utilities to protect power transfonmer, power generators and other associated equipment against fault currents, which is caused by 50/60Hz faults (short circuit) and transient phenomena (lightning switching operations)
Main intake transmission substation (Pencawang Masuk Utama), a substation in the transmission of electricity which increases or reduces voltage using a transformer.
Remote terminal unit, a microprocessor-controlled electronic device that interfaces objects in the physical world to a distributed control system or SCADA system by transmitting telemetry data to the system and/or altering the state of connected objects based on control messages received from the system
